Returns and Defects

With the nature of small, tropical live plants – shipping can sometimes be a tricky business, especially in the colder months.

Generally, live plants are only posted via 1-2 day courier Mon-Weds to make sure they get there in ample time before the weekend. If that’s not the case and they have been delayed for whatever reason on the couriers end, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to send out replacements free of charge if they arrive looking a bit worse for wear.

Live plants must be opened within 24 hours of receiving the parcel, and checked for damage to be eligible for a replacement if needed. For example, if your gift recipient has left them sat in their box for a week before opening – DIY Terrariums is not responsible for the condition of the plants received. Please give them light and water as soon as they are received. DIY Terrariums must be contacted within 14 days of delivery to provide any replacements/refunds.

Please note, due to the DIY nature of our kits, any damage to the glass MUST be reported before planting, where we will require a photo of the box, and any subsequent damage as proof. If damage is done to the glass AFTER planting, you are not eligible for any compensation.

If you are not happy with your item, or have changed your mind about your purchase – you are welcome to return it for a full refund. The original shipping cost will be refunded to you – however you will have to pay for the return postage back to DIY Terrariums. You MUST return items in the original condition to how they were sent (eg. DIY kit not assembled, plants healthy). Please contact me via the “contact us” page and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
